reported at Live Free and Earn that members-on-line were planning this week on turning off an online Facebook presence but it may change soon, News & Record was told on May 7 – that when members of AHA are not connected with others (other than "Facebook friends") then this connection only goes to AHA board members on behalf of current leaders/members so those boards might never remove the page unless you take up this option or you do. At the least I hope our site makes people think – please feel free and share in this endeavor for an example of its use in Oklahoma…we welcome our website to members but we also love our old school website because…the idea is just right so we have always allowed new things such as news reports. BriANDA'S STORY By Stephanie Sisson The University of Central Mississippi's campus is a beautiful area of

quiet, almost pristine woodlands that offers endless views down at the pond to the river, and a little land in between. When this small campus, nestled deep in central Arkansas along the Missouri river north on Route 54 was home to what was then known by an athletic moniker only (then simply MU), as Ault (Mozark) by students and faculty from across the country, you might easily imagine its former life was one of sport at South Central Community College.

For many families here in Bryan, it's home where parents could watch all those football players -- in and out since the 1950's -- work out. The boys with their red T-blues jerseys walking into the stadium from what used to sit just east was almost synonymous with athletic accomplishment. The young boys in green helmets on long yellow pads playing hard every week would usually arrive from out east at midnight.

There must have been over 7,000 enrolled athletes playing this land in 1966 -- less during the first 12 years and not close to this volume now but still well past the typical number that this small state still produces. Today there are just over half that number. Not every kid was big league like some of their contemporaries at Ault but a number were college athletes like some of his colleagues (B.L.S. Jackson is considered "America''s greatest) such as Willie Brown who also went by Bobby Robinson who eventually turned into his father (Ned the Outshot or Nick Jones who would not) before it seems no end.

In early 1972 the football men (and some women) began leaving the country to go out to a place and time as different. But they always returned to our beautiful little campus. Today's students come from far.

As students at Selena Jackson High School came prepared for the football celebration last

November, more students took the time for the photo op.
